American watch brand Fossil were one of the first company's to see the market for watches that made a style statement yet were affordable too. Launched in 1984 in Dallas, Texas, they imported watches from Asia and began life as a distributor. Using this experience to create retail accounts and get knowledge on what sells, they subsequently launched their own collection of Fossil Watches. With an emphasis on retro design and simplicity the range is popular worldwide with the company turning over $1 Billion in 2005.
