Rolex launched a new sports watch in 1992, 28 years after the Daytona was released back in 1964. It was available in 18kt gold with white dial containing the calibre 3135 movement, used in both the Sea Dweller and the Submariner. Unlike the deep sea diving Sea Dweller and Sub, the watch is only 100 metres water resistant. It is also quite similar in design to the Submariner however the Yacht-Master features a platinum bezel with raised markers.
Two smaller versions of the watch were made available in 1994, as mid-size and ladies, at 35mm and 29mm respectively.
The Yacht-Master II was unveiled in 2007 with a bigger, 44mm case and because there was no feature useful for people on yachts. Rolex introduced a new feature known as 'Regatta Time' on the Yacht-Master II. For more information on this watch and to browse our range; click here.
